My favourite Inglot Products!

Inglot Inglot Inglot!

I cannot recommend this brand enough, their products are literally AMAZING. I follow most of the Inglot girls on Snapchat and Instagram and I am always purchasing their product recommendations and not once has any of them let me down. First of all, the shades of foundation/concealer etc I use are going to be different than other people, so if you want to know your shade, pop into the girls in Inglot! They are so approachable, lovely and will have no bother helping you pick out a shade of any product(s) you’re looking for.

HD foundation

Soo.. Let’s start with my Holy Grail foundation, oh my lord! I have tried numerous foundations and I find they just don’t last long and don’t have full coverage. This foundation however stays on and gives a medium to full coverage. You can build it up to the coverage that you want. The foundation really hides imperfections and also discolourations on the skin and gives such a flawless finish. The HD pigments are used for filming/pictures to give that high definition to the skin. I use this every night as my going out foundation and I get asked quite a lot about it. This foundation is perfect for people with sensitive skin and it is enriched with truffle extract which moisturises the skin. When applying the foundation you need to work quite quickly with it as it tends to dry up and it sets fast. This foundation is quite matte but adding some of the seventeen tan liquid glow, which I reviewed on my previous blog, gives the skin a nice dewy finish and also having MAC strobe cream as my primer. Just in case anyone is wondering the shade I use is 77. I do know loads of people that have mixed opinions on this foundation, some people hate it, and some people love it. But in my opinion I really like it and I can’t see myself changing foundation anytime soon! I apply this foundation using my Nima foundation brush and a real techniques beauty blender to give that flawless finish.

Under Eye Concealer

These Inglot concealers are sooo underrated! After I apply my Inglot HD foundation I apply this concealer and it dry’s a lovely satin finish, it stays on all day and doesn’t cake up! I apply it with my Nima concealer brush and then pat it into my skin using a real techniques beauty blender. The coverage is medium-high and really helps to hide blemishes and circles underneath the eyes. There is a wide range of shades and the shade I use is number 91. It’s the best concealer I have used to date, and I will keep on repurchasing it. I apply the concealer under my eyes, the bridge of my nose, my cupids bow, my chin, and in the middle of my forehead.

77 Gel Eyeliner

This is literally the only eyeliner I ever use, nothing will compare to this little pot! To get some fleeky waanggzz all you need is this 77 gel liner and an angled liner brush = heaven. The formula is really creamy and easy to work with and if it ever does dry out from not putting the cap back on it, add a little duraline and wallahhh you’re back in business. Once you’ve put this eyeliner on it won’t budge! Now obviously there is pros and cons to eyeliner that stays on all day. The pro, obviously you want your makeup to stay on as long as possible and 77 gel liner doesn’t move once it’s on, and con it’s hard to get off, but not if you are using the right products, using an oil based product will get that liner off in no time. If you find it hard to do winged eyeliner, the best tip is to get some tape at the side of your eye to help guide you, and you will be a pro in no time, it’s all about practice. Another thing I love about this eye liner is that you can put it on your water line and it actually stays there and doesn't smudge off! I have tried numerous eyeliners and they seemed to just go away under an hour but with this one it will last my night out which is what everyone wants. Definitely a must have for your makeup bag.

Eyelashes

I bought 79S eyelashes from Inglot back in November for the night of my birthday. These eyelashes were recommended by Becky Timlin and Laurisa Kennedy who are makeup artists in Inglot, and they wear them all the time. I love them so much, they did say that they are very big eyelashes but I for the occasion I said I would buy them. When I was in store Orla Crossan another makeup artist from Inglot gave me tips on how to put them on and she also set to curl them before I put them on my eyes as they are so big. I put them on and nearly DIED, I was sooo in love, the quality of them are amazing. I’ve used mine over again so many times and they are still in such good condition...even after nights out! If you are looking for some dramatic lashes, these are definitely the ones to go for, honestly you won’t be disappointed.

Sculpting Powders

I have the 503 and 507 sculpting powders by Inglot and since I’ve bought them I’ve used them every time I’ve went on a night out. I use the 503 sculpting powder to set my Inglot under eye concealer and the sculpting powder 507 to contour my cheek bones. There is many different shades of the sculpting powders, and like I said not everyone has the same skin tone as me, so make sure you know your shade by popping into one of the Inglot stores and they will sort you out. This product is definitely a must have and it’s what I use nearly every night out to set my concealer and contour my cheek bones.
€10

Pigments

I literally cannot even put into words how obsessed I am with pigments, I mean they are amazing and literally just make your eyes sparkle. I can’t get over how high quality they are. I’ve tested other pigments and I just can’t get any good quality high pigmented ones as good as Inglot’s. I won’t buy from anywhere else because I want them to be proper pigmented, they are well worth the money. I love every single Inglot pigment but my favorite shades would be 111 which is a baby pink, 112 which is a lilac color, 119 which is a soft gold colour, 85 which is a mixed colour pigment with blue under tones, 86 which is another mixed colored pigment with rose gold/burgundy undertones. The mixed pigments I have mentioned are fabulous but hard to describe as they are a mix of colours. If you are in an Inglot store definitely check the 85 and 86 out as they are amazing.
€15/16

Sparkle Dust

For anyone that knows me, highlight is one of my favourite parts of doing my makeup, I have a few favourite highlighters and Inglot’s sparkle dust is definitely in my top 4! There is a few shades to choose from and the one I have is shade 2. It is SUPER sparkly and just so gorgeous on the skin and so pigmented. I apply my highlight with my Nima fan brush, if you want to be cheap and cheerful, Penney’s/Primark has a really nice one for only a few euro, and it does the job! The packaging of this product is so slick and even comes with a little sponge to apply the highlight. Use this and your highlight will be popping!
€20

Eyeshadow
I actually don’t even own any of Inglot’s eyeshadows funny enough, I really need to start building up my own flexi pallet. But I can HIGHLY recommend them as I do use my best friends flexi pallets of all there Inglot eyeshadows when I can (sorry Caitlin and Nicole ;)). I don’t know how I don’t even own any, like they are the most pigmented eye shadows I’ve used along with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Pallet, as that’s the pallet I actually use most of the time. I know so many shades of the eyeshadows I love though, so I am going to share them with you all!
Pinks & Purples: 74, 48, 46, 55, 450, 308, 14, 440, 439, 63 (it’s a blush but is amazing on the eyes!)
Browns & Golds:  09, 54, 21, 423.
Black & Grey: 63, 387, 451.
€6 per eyeshadow

I could go on and on about more products like the eyebrow gel, brushes and duraline but I tried to pick out the products I use the most. I am going to leave the Instagram and Snapchat names of my favourite Inglot MUA’s down below. I hope you enjoyed this blog post, if anyone has any suggestions of what they would like to see me blog about do let me know. I have tonnes of ideas, but I would love feedback from my followers of the content you would love to see from me. Much love, Caoimhe xx

My top 8 favourite drugstore makeup products!

Penney’s/Primark PS…Pro primer
So I have been a fan of the MAC strobe cream for months now, for anyone who doesn’t know strobe cream is an iridescent moisturiser which instantly illuminates the skin and I apply it before my foundation as my base. When I heard about Penney’s/Primark having a dupe for the MAC one I was quite skeptical as I didn’t think I would ever use any other strobe cream apart from the MAC one. Both products have the same shimmery finish to give that dewy look on the skin. My first impression of the Penney’s/Primark primer was the pigment.. oh my god that shimmer! But I have to say I did find the consistency was quite watery and lighter but that didn’t stop me from having a go and testing it out. I applied it to my face and the glow was amazing and it was very smooth, but the only negative thing I have to say is that I didn’t think it was as hydrating as the MAC one. I use my MAC one for nights out but I use the Penney’s/Primark one for my everyday makeup routine. Macs strobe cream is 34 and I mean come on for 4 for the cheaper version where can you go wrong? The product comes in two shades and I have the pink pearlescent shade. It is definitely a must have product for your makeup bag!😏

Catrice’s camouflage cream.
Once again I am always seeing what products mua's and bloggers are using and this was raved about for a while now, and I am not going to lie, until only a few months back I used to never carve out my eyebrows or even prime my eyes before applying eyeshadow. This is now one of my holy grail products that I cannot live without! this is amazzzzing! I have only ever bought 3 Catrice products and I have reviewed 3 of them on this blog post, so I really do like this brand. This camouflage cream is very high coverage and it is perfect to cover up all sorts of imperfections and its only 3. So the main reason I use the camouflage concealer is to correct and define the shape of my eyebrows and to prime my eyelids before I apply eyeshadow so it does'nt crease. There is only three shades available so I do think that a concealer should have a bigger variety. I got mine in Penney's/Primark.

3 in Penney's/Primark and many pharmacies that stock the Catrice brand.

The Catrice High Glow Mineral Highlighting Powder
A few months ago I picked up this little beauty in Penney’s/Primark for 5.50. There was so much talk about it with bloggers such as FacesbyGrace and Rosie Connolly, so of course I had to purchase it and see what the fuss was all about! It sold out in most of the stores at one point so I was so excited to try it and was hoping it was going to be pigmented and super glowy. It’s a baked powder and is infused with minerals and fine light-reflecting pearls for a luminous look. I hope Catrice makes more different shades in the future because this is amazing and soo affordable. This highlight is perfect for day wear as you can apply it very subtle or if you are going out at night and you want a more intense glow you can build up the intensity.
Some little tips and tricks for this highlight!
You can also use this highlight as an eyeshadow or even highlight the corner of your eye, which is quite the trend nowadays. A tip for making your highlight last longer that I found on YouTube is once you have applied your highlight on your cheek bones, get a damp beauty blender and just press in lightly where the highlight is applied and this helps for any excess highlight to not fall down on your foundation.. oh and also, always make sure to tap your brush to get rid of excess powder before applying the product! So if you are in need of a new highlighter, go and get this one, you will not be disappointed!

I wanted to add the top photo just to show the product on my skin, I mean look at that highlight???😍

Catrice Waterproof Mattifying Powder
Anyone with oily skin out there… this is for you!! Its only 4.99, which I picked up in Penney’s/Primark. My skin is super oily😐, even though I love a dewy look, sometimes it’s too much so applying this powder helps my shine control straight away. I love the packaging as it even has a mirror, as many drugstore products don’t really come with a mirror, and is so handy if you are on the go! I love how luxurious the powder feels it so silky and smooth. This product can be used on any skin as it is translucent. I love that it doesn't settle into the creases of my skin. I will definitely keep buying this product.

Sleek eyebrow kit
This kit is most definitely a dupe for Benefit’s Brow Zing’s! But in my opinion the sleek one is far better as its more pigmented and a 1/3 of the price. The sleek eyebrow kit includes a pigmented wax for defining and shaping the brow, a powder for setting the brows to achieve a flawless defined look. The kit comes with a mini tweezers, mini angled brush, mini blending brush and a mirror. Doing my brows is one of my weakest points in doing my makeup but good brows frame the face so it’s important to try and get them right, and of course brows are so on trend these days so you will want them on fleeeeek. My eyebrows stay on all day and I think it’s because the combination of wax first and the powder to set them. I cannot recommend this Sleek eyebrow kit enough and I got mine for €11.99 in boots pharmacy.🙋

Seventeen wow tan liquid glow
It’s funny that for one who has such oily skin I do love my dewy finish! I saw Suzanne Jackson had reviewed this and once she did I went straight out and bought it, and since then I have never looked back. I have tested out a few other liquid glows but nothing on this seventeen one, and it retails at only 8.49 So lets get to the point… what is the product used for?? I apply about 2 to 3 pumps of this to my foundation and mix it to give that bronzy dewy finish. Not only can you mix with your foundation, you can also use it to dab it onto your cheek bones for that extra highlight, or even apply it to you collar bones and shin bones for that extra shimmery tanned look! If you love a bronzy dewy foundation look, definitely pick up this little beauty as you won’t be disappointed.😜

NYX contour kit
So I wanted to try out a new contour kit, some of my favorites include the Suzanne Jackson contour pallet and Inglot’s sculpting powders, but a makeup artist from Castlebar who’s a friend of mine reviewed this on her snapchat in which I will leave her snapchat name here @FMBmakeup , go give her an add I will also leave her Instagram here @fionaburnsmakeup as she is more active on this💓. We love the same kind of makeup and once she spoke about it so highly off to Boots I popped and picked it up. Now there is so much hype about the Anastasia Beverly Hills contour pallet, I cannot talk down on it because I have never owned it or tested it out, but if you are short on cash and you want a good drugstore contour pallet that does the same job, this is the one! I have been using this pallet for a few weeks now but I was highly impressed with the quality of the powders. There is 8 shades and they are all super easy to blend onto the skin. From the top left to right we have the highlight shades, and from the bottom left to right we have the contour shades. If you want me to do a step by step contour and highlight review for this product let me know and I will do one. The price of this contour kit is €25.25.

NYX lingerie matte lipsticks

I am a big fan on matte lipsticks… helllooooo massive Kylie Jenner fan right here💋! Her matte lipsticks were so impressive that I didn’t think I would ever like any other brand or product of matte lipsticks, well then I saw the hype about these drugstore matte lipsticks..they do not disappoint believe me, I am obsessed! There is so many different shades to choose from, if you are looking for a pink, purple, nude, brown, whatever colour.. NYX has it!  I really like the applicator with the NYX Lingerie liquid lipsticks as it really helps allows shape your cupid's bow for a cleaner look (there is nothing worse than messy lipstick). The texture of the product is quite mousey which helps the application go on better. I didn't find these to be too drying on my lips, but I do think it’s good to have exfoliate your lips and applied lip balm prior to the application as it can enhance any cracks or dryness on your lips which has happened me a few times and believe me it’s not pretty. Now I’m sure ye want to know.. does the lipstick last long? Like any other lipstick.. you are going to have to apply it again at some stage especially if you are wearing it for hours on end, but they do last very long the only time I need to apply it is after I eat. I bought two shades honeymoon and embellishment. Honeymoon is greyish-taupe nude and really fits that grungey look that people are loving these days. Embellishment is more of a light purple taupe look and I’m obsessed it’s so so flattering on. The price of these lipsticks is €9.25.

Hope everyone enjoyed my first post, and pleaaaseeee let me know if you did, if I do not get too much feedback I might not do anymore so I would really appreciate it :P leave some suggestions of what you would like to see next, maybe my top high brand products? review on all my kylie Jenner products? let me know! Thank youuuuuu x
